At IDA Lab, we believe

rapid development in areas affected by humanitarian crises and climate change requires a bottom-up approach and innovative solutions rather than conventional ones.

"Overcoming poverty is not a task of charity, it is an act of justice. Like slavery and apartheid, poverty is not natural. It is man-made and it can be overcome and eradicated by the actions of human beings."

-Nelson Mandela

IDA Lab finds smart and innovative solutions for increasing income, reducing poverty, closing the financing gap for sustainable development investment, supporting new job opportunities, and increasing productivity by searching for capital and innovative investment in vulnerable societies.

Climate Change

IDA Lab takes action to combat climate change and its impacts by promoting innovative and local solutions that may overcome urgent short- and medium-term challenges.

Partnership

IDA Lab builds partnerships and searches for new ways of collaborating to create mutual value, increase opportunities, empower local actors and leverage innovative approaches by collaborating with partners from all sectors of society

NGO-Business Partnerships: a Win-Win Model

"NGO-business partnerships have been multiplying for several years now. These new alliances help to strengthen the legitimacy and social acceptability of companies, but they also – above all – make essential goods and services accessible to a wider population. In this way, these partnerships boost the efficacy of NGO actions while reinventing the way in which businesses envisage their activity in developing countries"
